8 months and crawling!

Sawyer turned 8 months this past Saturday. He had definitely been through a lot with going into the ER with croup the night earlier, that's for sure.

He eats a ton now - everything from pears to apples to squash, peas, carrots, green beans, etc. Oddly enough, he definitely prefers veggies over fruits. And he doesn't like peas at all unless you mix them with something else. And sadly, his appetite has been awful since being sick, but he finally willingly opened his mouth to eat tonight at dinner, so I'm taking that as a good sign!

He still loves absolutely anyone. He'll smile at anyone and contentedly be held by anyone. He adores his big brother and passionately loves rolling all around and "wrestling" Carson. It's impressive because Carson will laugh and laugh, even when Sawyer pulls his hair or digs his nails into Carson!

Sawyer loves being outside, so being here in Arizona has been awesome for him! He loves swinging most especially!

Sawyer suddenly fits into 12 month clothes, and it breaks my heart a bit! But at the same time, not really because all his chunky rolls are sooo cute!!

He's primarily taken bottled breast milk now, or at least during the day. All because he is getting wayy too aggressive with his teeth. When he wakes up at night, though (yes, he's STILL doing that!) he's mellow enough to just nurse in bed with me without biting.

Sawyer is saying more and more sounds, and he thinks it's particularly funny when I try to get him to repeat "Ma ma ma ma!"

He can sit really well now, although he seems to kind of get bored of sitting after a bit and flops over onto his belly or back.

And as of today ... Tuesday, March 8th, Sawyer is mobile. That's right, he crawled for the first time today! And he crawled from one end of my parents' living room to the other! I had my tablet out, and he really wanted it. My mom and I were like, "Huh, I wonder if we can get him to crawl to the tablet!" And he did! Ahh, my little Soy Bean! ("Saw Dust" as he is now affectionately known by his bumpa Terry!) He's growing up so fast! Oh, and his two top center front teeth look like they're going to pop through any day now!
